It's time to get your cowboy on, and there's no better place for that than in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo. The National Finals Rodeo is the final rodeo event of the PRCA season. Known as the Super Bowl of Rodeo, the competitors in each event compete for individual world championship titles. The titles are awarded to the individuals who earn the most money in their event throughout the PRCA season. The PRCA also awards the World All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy title to the individual who has earned the most money and regularly competed in one or more events during the year. A large amount of money is awarded during the National Finals Rodeo Event in Las Vegas, so whomever the leader is coming into the NFR event is not necessarily the one who will win the All-Around award. The National Finals Rodeo was established in 1958 to determine the top competitor in each of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association's seven events. Events in the National Finals Rodeo include Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding. Las Vegas has been the official home of the National Finals Rodeo since 1985. The NFR is a popular event, drawing fans nationwide to the Thomas and Mack Center each year. Events always sell out, and Las Vegas rolls out the red carpet for the cowboys, cowgirls, and fans that overtake the city during the NFR.
