The National Finals Rodeo was established in 1958 to determine the top competitor in each of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association's seven events. Events in the National Finals Rodeo include Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding. Las Vegas has been the official home of the National Finals Rodeo since 1985. The NFR is a popular event, drawing fans nationwide to the Thomas and Mack Center each year. Events always sell out, and Las Vegas rolls out the red carpet for the cowboys, cowgirls, and fans that overtake the city during the NFR. Many sportsbooks carry the events live and have parties to accommodate all the fans.
